U.S.D. 1812 Insignia

The U.S.D. of 1812 Insignia is the property of and is copyrighted by the National Society of the United States Daughters of 1812.  Authorization must be received by the National Society.

The insignia of the Society should always be given the place of honor.  It should be placed in the center above or in the upper left-hand corner above all printing.  Nothing should be placed above the insignia of the Society. 

The insignia graphics below, are strictly for the use of U.S.D. 1812 members  and are to be used only for official U.S.D. 1812 business.
On October 12, 2009, the National Board of Directors approved the logo's below, as the offical U.S.D. 1812 Public Logo.  The logo is not to replace the official insignia, but is to be used in intances when it is not appropriate to use the insignia. 

To celebrate the War of 1812 Bicentennial the public logo has been updated.  The new public logo design has a higher resolution, which will reproduce better than the original public logo graphics.  Additionally, a grey star has been placed in the middle of the large blue star to represent the colors of the National Society.

The logo's below are not copyrighted and do not contain the protocols that the official insignia does and may be placed anywhere in a document.  This may be a good option for public relations purposes.

Insignia original with gold letters - gif format, and is transparent and will work on darker backgrounds.

Insignia original- gold letters - jpg format for white backgrounds only.

Insignia with white letters- transparent- will work on darker backgrounds. White letters will show up on darker colored paper, when printing.   gif  format.
